Exercise therapy is incredibly beneficial for a range of conditions. We now all understand that exercise is medicine.

We offer a range of group exercise classes including:

Move it or Lose it – Classes for Seniors

Exercise has been shown to be extremely beneficial as we get older for:

  • Heart health
  • bone mineral density
  • joint health,
  • strength
  • balance

And can be maintained or improved through regular physical activity.

Maintaining independence and decreasing the risk of falls have also been attributed to leg strengthening and balance exercises.

Beat It – for Diabetes

Exercise has been shown to be extremely beneficial in the management of Diabetes.

Together with Diabetes NSW we run the Beat-It Program which includes exercise class twice a week for 8 weeks.

Exercise for Diabetes

For those who complete the Beat It program and are keen to continue exercises after the program completion, we offer maintenance exercise classes once a week.

Small Group Physio-led Exercise Classes

These classes are designed for those returning to exercise after injury or pregnancy, or those who like to exercise in a supported environment.

Our small group classes are personalised and suitable for anyone who wants to get their body moving with careful supervision and support. Group classes can help with motivation levels, building connections and with our physiotherapist supervision your exercise progression will be tailored to you.

Exercise for Parkinson’s Disease

Renee Coleman runs a class designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s disease. The benefits of exercise for those with Parkinson’s Disease include:

  • improved strength, balance and flexibility, and
  • improved control over gross motor movements (such as walking)

Research suggests that it may also delay the progression of Parkinson’s Disease.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice. It is a safe practice for people from different walks of life at all stages of life.

Yoga practice can:

  • Improve strength and balance
  • Improve bone and joint health
  • Improve quality of sleep
  • Improve mental health and concentration
  • Help to relieve pain and manage stress
