Renee Coleman is a Physiotherapist in our Jordan Springs team. She is a graduate of Western Sydney University and was awarded a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Physiotherapy with distinction in 2015.
Renee has joined our Jordan springs team after working in private practice seeing musculoskeletal injuries, sporting and work injuries as well as working in rehabilitation with people living with disabilities. Renee is accredited to see participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Renee’s passion is helping people to stay healthy and active right through life and she believes that this can be supported by a strong partnership between physiotherapist and patient. Renee is passionate about her profession and is inspired to explore the different ways in which a physiotherapist can support great outcomes for people with injury and disability.
Renee is always striving to expand her skill set and since graduation has completed futher education a range of areas including:
- dry needling
- connective tissue therapy
- trigger point releasing
- instrument assisted soft tissue releasing
Renee is also currently studying to become a yoga instructor, another passion of hers, which she hopes to share with the world, and the people of Jordan Springs come June 2018.
Outside of physiotherapy, Renee’s passion is Martial Arts. She has trained and studied in the martial arts for over 18 years. During these years Renee has successfully competed in numerous State and National level competitions in Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. On top of her success in competition, Renee earned her first Dan black belt in Taekwondo in 2004, her second Dan in 2008 and her third Dan in 2012. She also currently holds a purple belt rank in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
