Senior Physiotherapist & Exercise Physiologist, Caringbah
Louise Richardson is a Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science, a Graduagte Diploma in Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation and a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy. Louise tells us that she decided to be a physiotherapist when she saw the way in which physiotherapists use active strategies and techniques to support people to recovery quickly from injury. Louise is a physio member of our Caringbah team.
Louise has been working with the team at Hardman & McCarthy Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre for many years. She has stayed on with the business after it became The Healthy Body Company.
Louise’s dual qualification enables her to effectively combine physiotherapy treatment, which may include any number of techniques including McKenzie, Real Time Ultrasound, connective tissue release techniques, muscle energy techniques, with effective exercise prescription to achieve the very best outcomes for her patients.
Louise is accredited with the Australasian Lymphoedema Association as a Lymphoedema Therapist. She also treats all musculoskeletal injuries, and has a special interest in sports injuries. Louise is committed to continuous improvement and has completed post qualification training in the following areas:
- Sports Level 1 & 2
- The McKenzie Method
- Muscle Energy Yechniques for the pelvis and spine
When not at work Louise enjoys an active lifestyle which includes pilates and soccer. She is a very busy mum to two young boys.
At work Louise is a highly valued team member, and is the person most likely to pick up the screwdriver to fix anything that needs it. Louise is available to see clients in our Caringbah practice.
